Agrosoft Freight / Logistics Module

AGROSOFT has fully integrated freight and logistic features built into all of the Purchase and Sales modules throughout the system. Here are a few of the many freight/logistics functions provided in AGROSOFT:

  The system has the ability to easily capture freight information for truck, rail, barge

       and vessel movements.

  The system can be setup to automatically prompt for freight at the appropriate time

       during each of the data entry processes.

  You have the ability to record freight charges by common shipping unit of measure or

       by load.

  The system offers the ability to track freight transactions by carrier and by load.

  All freight transactions are forwarded to a Freight Accrual sub-system for easy

       matching with freight invoices for payment to the carrier.

  The system virtually eliminates duplicate payment of freight invoices.

  Freight functions within the grain system can help generate additional income by

       charging "dead freight" back to the vendor.

  Charge/Pay freight to the customer based on contract delivery type FOB or

       DELIVERED.

  The system offers the ability to pay the carrier at one rate and to charge a different

       rate or amount to the customer.

  For regulatory and government reporting, the system offers the ability to record the

       truckers Social Security number, insurance, and relevant authority information.

  Freight charges may be added to, deducted from, or excluded from the invoice and

       settlement.

  The system provides the ability to pre-define freight routes and rates, and to enter

       freight movements having multiple freight legs.

  The system provides the ability to record pickup/delivery schedules by order.
